Runners and Walkers information

Assemble at Apex Park at 10.15am for the 10.30am start.

Bib Collection

Your  bib number enables you to receive an official time. Collect your bib number from the Sportsmans Warehouse in Baylis St from Monday August 27th until Saturday 8th September. Out of towners ONLY can collect bibs at Apex Park Hall from 9.30 to 10.00am on event day. Runners and walkers have a yellow bib number. Wheelie entries have a blue bib number.


Course

The Lake to Lagoon course is a 9.5km course through the streets of Wagga and along the banks of the Murrumbidgee River starting at Apex Park – Lake Albert and finishing at the Wollundry Civic Lagoon Precinct. More details and the course information map can be found on the course information page.

Safety

Safety is of paramount importance during the run and care must be taken to ensure that all traffic regulations are observed. Please complete the personal details section on the back of event bib. To ensure good hydration have plenty to drink along the course and at the finish area.

Start

Runners and Walkers should assemble at Apex Park Lake Albert from10.15am on Sunday.  If parking at the start yourself plenty of time to find a car park at find your way to the Apex Park Start line. Entrants should self seed with slower participants lining up behind the main bunch of runners for safety.

Finish

The finish line for the Lake to Lagoon is in Burns Way beside the Wagga Wagga Civic Theatre. Participants that complete the course and cross the finish line will have their time recorded. At the finish there is lots of colour with sponsor give aways, food and drink. Medal presentations will occur at the finish area.

Timing

Automatic disposable timing chips are used to time each participant. The timing chips are attached to the back of the event bib, please do not interfere with or remove the chips prior to the event.

Bus Transport

Buses courtesy of Busabout depart from the Tourist Information Centre for Lake Albert at regular intervals from 9.00am until 9.45am prior to the event.  Buses leave The Tourist Information Centre for return to Lake Albert at regular intervals from 11.30am to 1.30pm after the event.

Presentations

Medals and awards are presented to event and age category winners. The presentations will take place as soon as the results are compiled around 12.00 pm at the Amphitheatre area.
